About Alcohol Use

Around a quarter of the population drink above the former recommended weekly guidelines, which increases the risk of causing or experiencing alcohol-related harm. The cost of alcohol-related harms in England is up to £20 billion per annum. Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy for England
Cutting down and stopping drinking is often just the beginning and most people will need some degree of help to stay alcohol-free in the long term. Getting support is sometimes crucial to understanding and overcoming the issues that make a person drink.
