Broadreach House Foundation Degree in Substance Misuse Counselling

This course was written by Broadreach and is delivered in conjunction with City College Plymouth and University of Plymouth. It is a 2 year full time course that includes a sizable work-based learning element, as well as a range of important modules including:

Motivational Interviewing, Advanced Practice Facilitating, Interpersonal Group Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Understanding Detox Systems and Related Medical Issues, Harm Reduction Principles Practice, Ethical Practice and Supervision Treating People With Complex Needs.

The Foundation Degree is suitable for graduates of the Diploma in Addiction Counselling, as well as those with existing experience and qualifications wishing to study at a higher level.

The course is comprehensively mapped to the Drug and Alcohol National Occupational Standards.
