25 year celebration at The HUB
On
29th March 2008, Ocean Quay Promotions presented a
night of Punk/Pop/Indie music, featuring premier punk cover band
PUNKARAMA with Rick's Rebels (Battle of
the Bands winner), Shanty Town (Top Manchester Indie band) and Willie
and the Bandits (Rock/blues).
The evening was well attended by
staff and clients alike, with Ocean Quay's Punkarama stealing the
show, giving a really exciting and polished selection of favourites.
As usual, the event was highly successful in raising the profile of
Broadreach House, whilst providing the opportunity for people to have fun
and enjoy good quality live music.
Broadreach Reunion
The Reunion Party celebrating 25 years on 6th October
2007 was a huge success.
Over 220 ex-clients and staff gathered to celebrate with live music, raffle, BBQ and buffet. There were also speeches from clients, who offered insight and hope and showed courage and dignity in their personal stories.
“It was really exciting to see familiar faces, some of whom have not been in touch for many years, and to hear about the amazing variety of life goals that have been achieved and dreams realised” (Chrissy Richman – Chief Executive)
The occasion was also marked by the relaunch of this website – which offers a more user friendly and vibrant way to access information about the services that Broadreach House has to offer. The re-launch and reunion party also opens the start of a year of fundraising and celebratory events marking a quarter century of treatment.
Since opening its first treatment centre in 1982, Broadreach House has treated over 8000 clients with alcohol and drug misuse issues. The Reunion Party was an emotional and fun celebration of continued success and innovation in the field of drug and alcohol treatment.
