Fundraising I How Can You Help I Online Donation

Become a Friend of Broadreach House

In the summer of 2003 we started to bring together energetic, committed people to form an active group of ‘Friends’ to support us and fundraise on our behalf. The response was tremendous and our current ‘Friends’ are made up of people who have kindly given us a donation or been able to offer their time. Working with us and on our behalf can be exciting and interesting as well as extremely rewarding.

You may be able to run a fundraising event for us, from a sponsored run or a jumble sale to a charity auction. Perhaps you have a skill, which you could teach, and share with our clients? Art, massage, jewellery making, woodwork, drama have all been offered by volunteers and have been extremely popular. We can never have too many of these activities, so please do come forward. How about befriending someone who is completing treatment and returning to your hometown? Or if you’re local to us, offering your time to take people still in treatment to medical or other appointments?

To discuss the possibility of your involvement please contact our Chief Executive, Chrissy Richman. We would be happy to welcome you for a visit.

Bullet PointAre you interested in property investment in Plymouth? Would you be able to make your property available to us for the use of     our clients? It is a really effective way of giving real support where it matters, directly to those who need it.
Please contact us if  you are able to help in this way.

Bullet PointDo you know of any events which we could attend and run a stall? Even better, do you know anyone who might be keen to run     a jumble or cake sale or take part in any kind of sponsored event on our behalf? How about a sponsored walk/swim/run?

Bullet PointDo you know someone who would be willing to donate by direct debit, a friend or family member perhaps?
Please let us know, and we will send the forms.

Bullet PointDo you or someone you know run a small business? Would you or they be prepared to sponsor an activity or a piece of     equipment?

We are looking for any help that you could offer. If you know anyone who may take an interest in our work we would like to meet them and show them round.

Please contact us or phone 01752 790000 to discuss your ideas.

Gift Aid

We are more than happy to accept one-off donations or pledges of support through the Gift Aid scheme. If you pay income tax in the UK, we can reclaim tax from the Inland Revenue, which makes your donation even more valuable - if you pay income tax at the standard rate, we can reclaim 28p for every £1 you give - so, if you donate £100, we receive £128. Under current UK legislation, there is no minimum amount you have to donate in order to qualify for the Gift Aid scheme.

All you need to do is accompany your donation with the following statement: I confirm that I would like Broadreach House to treat my donation of £____ (amount) made on __/__/__ (date) as a Gift Aid donation. I currently pay income tax in the UK. Please sign and date this statement, and provide us with your address.
