QUAY PROJECT VOLUNTEERS

WORKING TOGETHER, SUCCEEDING TOGETHER

Quay Project Volunteers, based at Ocean Quay, has been established since July 2006.  The Project was set up to promote volunteering as a powerful force for change, both for those who volunteer and for the local community.

This volunteer scheme is unique in that it has been developed specifically for people who have been affected by substance misuse.  All volunteers are assessed and inducted by Steve Milford the volunteer coordinator; this ensures that your placement is informed by your interests, abilities and future development.

There are opportunities to take part in a wide variety of placements, both on and off site, and there are educational opportunities available to help improve your employability.  Our educational courses are delivered and accredited in partnership with City College Plymouth.

As a volunteer you are able to access relapse prevention, there is support for volunteers into housing, help with debt issues, and we can assist with unpaid work and Probation orders.
