About Us I Philosophy of Care I Mission Statement
Philosophy of Care
Our treatments are based on the understanding that alcohol and drug dependence is a result of the complex interaction of cultural, social, psychological, physiological and genetic determinants. We believe that the processes responsible for change are complex and often vary between clients. The central tenet of our approach is the impetus for change being drawn from individual clients, observing the principles of:
Promoting self-efficacy, personal choice and individual responsibility
Planning treatment collaboratively and improving quality of life
Respecting individual need and valuing diversity
Ensuring a safe, supportive environment
Evaluating evidence
With a commitment to clinical excellence, we believe in high standards of professional competence and the observance of a code of ethics, ensured by exacting standards of training and supervision.
