Drawing on over 25 years’ experience in the Drug and Alcohol sector Broadreach House offer training courses to meet the needs of many types of individuals and workers across the health and social care sector.
Our specialised team offers professional training courses to individuals interested in entering the sector or in professional development in substance misuse work. Our 1 year Open College Network South West Region accredited Level 3 course the “Access to HE Diploma: Practitioner in Substance Misuse” provides learners with an opportunity to increase their employability in a rapidly growing sector.
This course is mapped to DANOS competencies and is based upon a broad evidence-based theoretical framework, in which learners aim to become skilled, creative and competent practitioners. On completion, learners will be able to develop a professional, therapeutic and productive relationship with clients, and to deliver a range of interventions in both residential and community settings. The Motivational Interviewing Practitioner training also forms part of this course.
Our training department also provides many short workshops and courses. This has afforded us the opportunity to make a significant contribution to training the counsellors and drug and alcohol practitioners of tomorrow, in a well-respected, high-quality environment.
